Go MTB is a National Scheme aimed at young riders this award is for anyone who wants to develop their skills and experience in off-road riding, from those learning basic bike handling skills to riding long technical routes with advanced features.
Go MTB is a progressive mountain bike achievement award that enables people to advance their technical riding skills as well as learning how to look after themselves, their bike, the environment, and other people.

There are four themes to the Award and five levels within each theme. These cater to all levels of experience, from novice to expert. The themes are:
Riding Skills
Sharing the Outdoors
First Aid
Being Independent and Self-Supporting
Day 1 of our course
Trailside repairs
Basic map Navigation
Short trail ride - skill development on navigation and some Level 2 Skills - climbing and descending
Day 2of our course
Manual front wheel lifts (level 3)
Manual drop off (level 3) 
Cone of movement (level 2)
Longer Trail Ride.

MTB Skills Courses

We offer mountain bike Skills courses in the North York Moors venues such as Dalby Forest, Yorkshire Cycle Hub or a venue near to you. The moors offer a huge variety of terrain available from made trails to natural trails there is something for everyone. 
We do beginner to advanced riders, one to one or group sessions.
